Spectator and supporter points
There are a numbers of spectator points we recommend that people can view people from. We do strongly advise that the areas displayed are open to the public, narrow and can be used by other groups such as anglers, cyclists and other activity groups so congestion may occur but we feel these listed below are suitable.
Start Line
To view people at the start, there are a few options.
Vantage points.
The best view of main start line can be viewed from the A4150. This view allows you to see the runners start onto the path and to the line, as they emerge in their waves.
You can then Watch the runners from Horsley Fields Junction as they come from the start line and continue along the way to Birmingham. There is a car park 2 minutes walk away from this vantage point.
Bilston Road Bridge, you can observe runners come past you.
Large industrial shopping complex's such as Go Outdoors in the area can provide car parking.

One of the best view points
The Old Bush, Factory Rd, Tipton DY4 9AU
Slightly further down from there are a set of locks where the pathway and areas expand slightly allowing an area for viewing, along with a few bridges to get an advanced view point.
Tipton Railway Station. Tipton DY4 8ET
An 8 minute train journey from Wolverhampton, From here, you can view from many view points of either the road bridge or a bit further down the canal from Bridges adjacent to Caggys Boat Yard.
Netherton Tunnel Junction
Access is via 15 minute walk along path to the canal from Tividale, Oldbury B69 3NF.
Mile 9 Drink Station
Parking is via the Sandwell and Dudley Train Station.
Plenty of spectating area along the bridge
A bit further along is Bromford Junction,
A bit further along is Bromford Junction, as the runners cross back over and there is plenty of space for spectating.

Galton Valley Pumping Station is the nearest landmark to view runners from the road bridge or nearer on the canal path.
Past this point, runners are on the 'home' stretch of the event and the next significant area for spectators would be the finish area.
